Our Supply Chain
Social and environmental sustainability are very important to us.
SUSTAINABILITY IN OUR SUPPLY CHAIN
Social and environmental sustainability are very important to us. As a responsible company, we believe we have a duty to nature and to people, and we fulfill this responsibility by carefully selecting our suppliers and transparently disclosing information about our supply chain.
We therefore partner with a vertically integrated manufacturer in Mongolia that is deeply committed to ensuring fair production conditions.
Mongolia is a young democracy with fair wages, due process, and a modern, emerging economy that—following the collapse of the Soviet Union—has drawn closer to the West economically and politically without losing its cultural uniqueness as a borderland between the Asian steppe and the Chinese cultural sphere. The people of Mongolia are as warm and open-minded as they are deeply connected to their culture and history.
We are therefore proud that our products may bear the “Made in Mongolia” label, which represents the highest quality and fair production conditions.
Preserving the Mongolian way of life

FROM WOOL HARVESTING TO THE FINISHED PRODUCT—ALL UNDER ONE ROOF.
We specifically chose a vertically integrated manufacturer as our production partner. This manufacturer purchases raw wool directly from farmers and nomads in Mongolia, thereby ensuring fair compensation.
The raw wool is then delivered to our manufacturer’s factory in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, where it is sorted, washed, and spun into yarn.
With our partners in Mongolia, we have developed functional, sturdy, durable products designed for maximum performance. As soon as we approve an order, we send the yarn to the main factory, where we spin and sew the clothing. The workers are talented seamstresses from Mongolia, many with decades of experience. We pay every worker fairly, at or above Mongolia's legal standards. We regulate working hours and vacation time, and all employees have statutory health insurance. Manufacturing in Mongolia costs significantly more than in low-wage countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, or Bangladesh. In return, we know production meets our high quality standards and that every link in the supply chain—from the farmer to the seamstress in the factory—is paid fairly and can live well on their salary.
This assurance is worth the higher investment to us because we believe we have a responsibility to people. Our long-term goal is to source our wool from our own yaks and camels, ensuring even greater transparency and control over our supply chain.
