Our heavyweight cardigan, made of 100% yak wool, is our warmest mid layer for winter days when temperatures drop well below freezing. An extra-high stand-up collar and thumb loops add extra warmth around the neck and hands. Two side pockets let you tuck your hands close to your body for added warmth. This mid layer is built for the most extreme temperatures and replaces the down jacket under your hardshell—eliminating the need for a membrane and making your gear more breathable. For physically demanding activities, this mid layer is usually too warm—except in the most extreme cold. It’s ideal as an ultra-warm insulated jacket for ski huts or campfires.
