Yak Wool
Yak wool is a high-performance fiber from the Himalayas. Adapted to the extreme climate and harsh landscapes of the Central Asian high mountains, where temperatures can drop to as low as -58 °F, yak wool provides excellent insulation, outstanding breathability, a superb warmth-to-weight ratio, and high resistance to wind, weather, and precipitation at very low temperatures.
These properties make yak wool an excellent choice for mountain and winter combat. We therefore recommend yak wool for military use in winter, spring and autumn and for year-round use in high mountains.

Camel Wool
The camel wool we use comes from Bactrian camels in the steppes of Central Asia. Camels there are exposed to unimaginable temperature fluctuations: During the day in summer, temperatures can exceed 113 °F, while at night in winter, they can drop to as low as -40 °F.
Camel wool therefore stands out for its uncompromising temperature regulation. It can be worn just as comfortably in the depths of winter as in the heat of summer, where it keeps the wearer pleasantly cool. We therefore recommend camel wool for the European summer, spring and autumn as well as for military operations in Africa, the Near and Middle East, and Central Asia.

For orders shipped to a private address, we require a military ID, service ID, or reservist ID as proof of eligibility. After placing your order, please email a copy of the front of your military or service ID to info@odins-wolves.com.

Alternatively, you can also confirm your status as a soldier or police officer by calling us from an official phone number (the area code and dialed number must be visible), emailing us from an official work email address (e.g., @bundeswehr.org), or asking your sergeant to perform one of these steps on your behalf.
If you send us a service or military ID, please note:
- The photo must clearly show your first name, last name, the issuing authority, and the expiration date.
- For security reasons, we ask that you black out or obscure all other information, especially the ID number, rank, and photo.
- We do not store the copy and will delete it immediately after confirming your status as a soldier or police officer. However, we can note in our system for 5 years that your status has been confirmed, so you will not need to send us a copy of your ID again for any future orders during that time.
